Super Stroke
Challenge:
SuperStroke was a struggling Michigan based, golf grip company that nearly became extinct. They had a difficult challenge trying to break through into an industry where the amateur golfer doesn’t think of their product and the professionals are typically brand loyal.
Insights:
Take the product to the pros to garner interest from viewing amateurs. As the pros began using the grip and it was getting a lot of Network TV coverage when the players were standing over the ball and reading the greens but it was difficult to notice the brand.
Solution:
DCS Co. strategically position the product to gain exposure to both of these target audiences by simplifying the logo and redesigning the grip so product/name stood out on TV, placing SuperStroke front and center in living rooms around the world. This new design allowed viewers to see the brand when the pros had the product in their hand’s which opened up the doors creating demand in the amateur golfer audience.
Results:
SuperStroke is now touted as a top putter grip on tour and helped earn over 12 PGA Tour wins in 2017 for pros like Jordan Speith, Jason Dufner and Sergio Garcia. Since our brand makeover, sales have grown 600%.
