Project Overview
We worked with Crocs to explore an exciting partnership with the National Basketball Association. The new NBA slides combine comfort with cool and are fit for the courtside or the street. We wanted to evoke the frenetic energy of the sport throughout the edit and have viewers feel as if they were in the stadium. This consideration also informed the audio, with the squeak of shoes on polished wood court, a prominent feature. We pushed the environment with a stylised court and hoop to give the animation a hyper-real, almost video game feel. The lighting and atmosphere create a feeling of depth, with the simplistic compositions replicating the ambience of a stadium. Dynamic transitions between the shots keep up the pace throughout as we interchange seamlessly between ball and shoe. The NBA Slide lets basketball fans put their love of the sport on display and represent a real slam dunk for Crocs. The sport of basketball provides a rich creative playground.
