Challenge
Our task here was to design a shop-in-shop within Saturn in Hamburg (The world’s largest electronic goods store) creating stand-out for the HTC brand within a visually noisy environment. Specifically targeting millenials, we were asked to create a magnetic experience to drive consideration and encourage trial.
Solution
Named ‘the living room’, the concept brings to life the human qualities of the brand while creating a natural place for shoppers to feel comfortable and try out the live devices and to naturally discover the intuitive features of the HTC products. The layout was zoned to encourage staff interaction, to encourage cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. We also deployed technology with an ‘experience player’ and motion sensors to manage and measure the experience, adapting real-time content while capturing footfall and engagement time.
Results
Designed and delivered within 8 weeks, this retail experience was originally planned to last 6 months. Success has meant an extension to this timescale with the shop still going strong well into its second year.
